The Stage6 Piaggio short intake manifold is an inexpensive and excellent alternative to the rather expensive models from other manufacturers. A short intake tract offers better responsiveness and the intake rpm will be even higher, resulting in more power. So-called biofuels are becoming increasingly popular. However, they can contain up to 20% pure alcohol, which makes the fuel more aggressive towards standard NBR rubber compounds. The alcohol will soften the NBR over time. In order to adapt to this trend, Stage6 Development will offer future products subject to prolonged contact with fuel (reed valves, intake manifolds, etc.) in an FKM (Viton) compound, which will be slightly more expensive, but also more resistant to alcohol and heat.
