This complete screw kit with specific Allen key was developed by Athena for Athena cylinder kits intended forvertical air-cooled Yamaha-Minarelli engines and therefore for legendary applications such as the MBK Booster.
The OEM cylinder head and cylinder clamping based on studs has been eliminated by introducing a new patent pending system of these special bolts quite close to those used in high-level performance engines. Clamping the cylinder to the crankcase (Racing type) with these bolts and a special Allen key leads to a reduction of the thermal expansion of the cylinder, providing a more efficient clamping and on the other hand allows the sophisticated redesign of the exhaust port that makes this product so special and unique.
