DESCRIPTION
This OEM Adly starter idler shaft is a support and guide shaft used in the starter system, as shown in the Starter category of the OEM Adly diagram.
Its function is to:
support the idler gear
ensure free and aligned rotation of the gear
maintain the correct center distance between the starter components
guarantee smooth transmission of the starting motion
The shaft is under load with each start. Its diameter, straightness, and surface finish are critical to prevent seizing or premature wear.
