Racing reed valves feature an optimized inlet diameter and gas-flow shape. The Racing reed valve has lower flow resistance than the standard reed valve, allowing a larger volume of fresh mixture to enter the crankcase. This results in more efficient transfer to the cylinder, resulting in higher power output. Particularly recommended in conjunction with a larger carburetor.
