DESCRIPTION
This OEM Adly Electric Starter Clutch Set is the one-way mechanism of the starting system, as shown in the Starter category of the OEM Adly diagram.
Its function is to:
transmit the rotation from the electric starter to the engine during starting
allow the crankshaft to rotate until ignition
disengage automatically as soon as the engine starts, to prevent the engine from driving the starter
The clutch operates by one-way mechanical engagement. Internal tolerances and contact surfaces are critical to ensure a secure, slip-free engagement and immediate disengagement after starting.
